Singapore's General Election 2011 are coming and i just received the card stating that i have to vote on whether i want PAP or SDP to represent our Holland-Bukit Panjang GRC luckily i am 21 already & get to vote :D

on another note, i have a proper handbag! finally i bought a handbag...BECAUSE, if u know me personally, you would know i am not a handbag kind of person i have slingbags, beach straw bag, backpacks, whats not BUT not a handbag..
i got it from G-market Singapore and its REALLY cheap! guess how much it is then scroll below to find out !

this bag costs only S$13.40 & its so nice! it was also delivered to my house via TAQ-BIN courier service.
actually i wasn't home when the delivery man came the 1st time so he left a Non-delivery Slip at my door.
Then i called the number on the slip to arrange for a re-delivery with a timing suited to my own preference at NO ADDITIONAL COST! (i chose the the next day morning 8am-10am slot) really really awesome service!
the delivery man came a 2nd time and he was super patient and nice! thumbs up :)
this flowery throw-over was bought via a taiwan spree (Toyko Fashion) and costs only S$10 (after conversion and including shipping and mailing)..
the spree organizer was very efficient and i got my clothes in less than 2 weeks compared to other organizers that make you wait 1-2 months, which is crazy!

look closely and u can see that i drew my eye today with the Bonjour Paris Metallise Purple Pencil Eyeliner.. its doesn't smudge and can last throughout the day :)

today is monday again already! time passes way too fast..
my exams start next Friday and i feel like i am running out of time to study! i really got to make full use of my time in the next few days..
anyways, i went to Causeway Point to have dinner with my family last night at Soup Restaurant.. the Samsui Chicken there is really awesome and u cannot find it anywhere else in Singapore (i think!)
my elder sis happened to walk past the Metro departmental store and saw that there was a SALE.. so we went there after dinner andddddd THANK GOODNESS WE WENT :D
there was like 40% discount on Bonjour Paris makeup, Loreal, Maybelline etc.!!!!! seriously right?! how often do you come across sales with such big discounts on makeup?
I bought 2 base creams from Loreal, 2 Eyeliners from Bonjour Paris and 4 Bras (this i know i don't have to say here BUT its really cheap so i HAVE to mention!)
the Pierre Cardin Bras were retailing at (2 for $30), but there was a further 20% discount! so it became (2 for $24), and it calculates to just $12 for 1!

I am watching A Crazy Little Thing Called Love on dvd now.. my elder sis and i bought it at BPP!
it is a thai romance movie that nicholas introduced to me a while back and its superb! i introduced it then to my 2 sisters.. but they werent that fascinated at the idea that it was a thai movie.
so, i convinced them to watch the short trailer and after watching the trailer and finally the entire movie on youtube, they LOVEDDDDD it! haha, my lil sis claims she watched it 5 times already till date!

i am blogging while watching GLEE on StarWorld.. hmmm, today i went school for a 6hr lecture.. overly shaggggggggg!
anyway, i mentioned i bought my Jelly PongPong lipgloss with the Fairy Lashes Mascara..
here are pictures of it:
it comes in a cute packaging box with white fluffy feathers on top and the mascara bottle is purple..my favourite colour!! i've tried it and i think it really does make my lashes longer though, i hardly ever use mascara!! haha!
all the Jelly PongPong products have really interesting & superb concept packaging.. even the brand name is so quirky!! JELLY PONGPONG! not like the usual cosmetics we see in departmental stores, Watsons and Guardian with bland simple and run-of-the-mill kind of packaging for their products
sadly, it does not retail in Singapore, not even at Sephora. hopefully they bring in this brand someday!
pictures of my headband: i love hair accessories and i have seriously too many of them at home already! haha :D this one, the blue sequined headband is from Forever21.com and the feather is a separate clip i got at Far East Plaza for S$4 (if i didnt remember wrongly!)
the feather was initially attached on a metal hairband and the shop owner was kind enough to help me change it into a clip! i don't like metal hairbands as they tend to give me headaches, hence the special request!

i am blogging while watching Work of Art on tv..
its a reality show where different artists participate in challenges where they have to come up with art pieces within hours!! super interesting!!
then, i bought this lipgloss off ASOS.com a while back and its super cute!! the brand: Jelly Pong Pong the colour: Lip Orchid Original Price: £5 Sold together with Fairy Lashes Mascara for £6.30 (Sale Price)
i don't know if they are still selling it on ASOS but you can get it at drugstore.com too :D
the colour is pinkish-orange.. and it has an adorable orchid flower attached to the cover where else can you find a dainty lipgloss like this right?!

i was playing around with Polyvore
ANDDDD... this is my first creation!! not bad for a 1st try :) lol!
today i overslept and was late for class for 1.5 hr :( seriously what was i thinking?! only 2 more weeks to my exams so i got to take my classes more seriously!
today, i also went to Bukit Panjang Plaza, the mall near my house.. to pay my Citibank bills - $200 bucks :( heartache!!!! dunno how i managed to chalked up so much on my credit card last month..
i also went to Daiso to get some stuff. apparently, i walk into the store everytime thinking, "HEY, i will just come in to take a look! if i buy anything, its just SGD$2 per item right?"
but i always end up spending wayyyy more than $2.. i should stop shopping on impulse!!
anyways, i bought these (anticlockwise):
1) Chingnon hair tool (to help me create the chingnon up-do but it seems i have too much layers in my hair..sad)
2) eyelash curler tool (mine went missing a few months back.. but i believe it is hidden somewhere at home so i might probably find it someday :S)
3) lace border scrapbooking tape (i love doing cards from scratch nowadays so this is pretty useful)
4) Partial fake eyelash (i don't know how to put a fake eyelash because u have to cut it to the correct length, align it, paste it etc.. super troublesome!!! i never succeeded and gave up on them! so i thought maybe i could try the partial ones.. dunno how it will turn out!)
5) japanese bobby pins (to pin up my long bangs when i am studying!)
6) seasoned seaweed EXPENSIVE!!!
sunglasses turned fake specs P.S i used a hammer to remove the lenses.. haha!

i just received the cutest thing ever in my mail today!! BUTTON STICKERS for my I-TOUCH!!!!
all the stickers were just too adorable i couldnt decide which one to paste at first!!
i think it can also be used for the I-phone since the button is of the same size right..

just now i was just looking at some youtube videos and came across 3OH!3's music videos then i went to see their record label's Youtube channel - Photo Finish Records.
surprisingly, there are a couple of other bands under this label all of which i didn't know of, and i am sure many other people don't know of too since the no. of views they get aren't too many.
however, i think they are really not bad! like Downtown Fiction and Anthony Green has nice songs!!

this time i am blogging not to complain about stuff or drown in my sorrows.. i cant possible have something to complain about all the time right? :)
2 - 3 months ago, i actually dyed my hair with the Liese Bubble Hair Colour - Chestnut Brown and it totally did not show.. i guess i didnt put the hair colour on long enough (supposed to be 30 mins) OR my natural hair was just too black OR because it was the 1st attempt in my life at colouring my hair OR that chestnut brown was just too close to black, hence the difference wasnt obvious.
anyways, i dyed my hair again 2 days ago!!! i did it at home with the Liese Bubble Hair Colour - Sweet Apricot..
as the Sweet Apricot dye is lighter and brighter and has an orange-y tone, it has worked better this time..

though my hair did not end up as orange, and instead looks more like maroon i am glad i did not waste money this time :) i am quite sure that its my hair thats the problem as to why the colour isnt that obvious both times!!

usually when i get up in the morning nowadays, no one's at home. my mum and sis are at work and my lil sis is at school. it's a little hard to get used to, since the past 21 years of my life - i had a maid. but not anymore since october last year.
anyways, tt's not the main point of this post.
my mum happened to be at home this morning and, she made some comments after seeing me wear some particular new shirt i bought. i don't remember the exact words she used though and it was in chinese.
Mummy: "diana, why are you always buying those cheap clothes online? you have a huge pile of clothes bought online not worn before in your cupboard! i went to see them and all are of sub-standard quality, or too big for you. don't buy clothes online already.. you won't even wear them am i right? you are graduating this year and going out to work soon so don't buy those clothes online already. you cant even wear them to work, since it would be embarrassing, given the quality. next time buy clothes from the shops, at least you can see the quality and sizes..etc"
my reply: "i do wear those clothes i buy online! if its big, its okay. at least i can still wear it. and btw, those dresses in that stack are from UK (i didnt say ASOS since she wouldnt know) and are not dirt cheap and lousy. i just keep them first and will wear them for work next time."
her reply: "you don't bluff lah! by then, those dresses would have been out of trend. i am sure you won't wear them"
points to note: i do not follow trends. i dont deny that many of my clothes are cheap, and i am super cheapo but at least i have variety in my closet and i have more to choose from every day. some people have wayyy expensive clothes in their closets but they end up having to repeat wearing the same outfit like 1 week later or so? so, cheap does not equal lousy. and, i would rather have five $10 shirts, shorts, whats not etc i like than one $50 dress from miss sixty ( infact i don't think they have $50 dresses.. they definitely cost more)
btw, i am wearing a $7 shirt now shipped over from korea.. show you a picture i just took:
i mean it doesnt look expensive but it doesnt look like $7 either what...
and to show you that my mother can't tell the difference between cheap and expensive stuff either and yet wants to complain about my online purchases, here are pictures of stuff i bought on ASOS (not dirt cheap k) which i am keeping for work and the coat for my korea trip. oh, and pretty models for you to look at.. obviously they look good in the dresses so the dresses don't look cheap.
so next time someone tells me what i bought or what i am wearing or what i have look cheap, i will tell them i like my cheap stuff as much as the other expensive stuff i have. what do you want to do about it? :)

it is really irritating when someone preaches to you something.. yet they themselves do not practice what they preach right?
especially people who want to show off that: they watched a video about japan's devastating disaster and to PRAY FOR JAPAN!!!!! they are saving the earth by sitting in pitch dark from 8.30-9.30pm now because its EARTH HOUR!!!!
whats worst is them making it known by POSTING UP STATUS UPDATES ON FB, TWITTER, THEIR BLOG.. or whatever other ways they can, to let others know that they are doing something about the particular issue, be it Earth hour, the Japan crisis, Libya, etc.
but hey you know what? i totally don't get it. you post things like 'PRAY FOR JAPAN', 'how pitiful', 'pray for the unfortunate people'.. but did you do anything? did you donate to the red cross or some other organisation that is helping to raise funds for japan?
or you are just trying to act like you care when you actually didnt bother to do a thing?
ohohoh, and just so you know, not switching on the lights for an hour during earth hour, does save a teeny weenie bit of electricity. but spending a couple of hours everyday to charge your Iphone (that needs to be charge everyday) actually uses up MUCH MORE.
seriously people should stop trying to act like they wanna help raise awareness when they themselves aren't actually advocates themselves.. they are just attention seekers.
FYI. i did donate $5 to the SINGAPORE RED CROSS through my school's fundraising drive i sat in pitchdarkness writing this because my sisters' wanted to celebrate EARTH HOUR..zzz i am not an advocate of anything.. AND this post is not directed at anyone in particular PEACE.

many years have passed since i started this blog. now, i am no longer someone who needs to write down all her feelings on pen and paper or blog abt her daily life for all to see.
but just because i no longer do that, doesnt mean that i dun need the world to see me anymore. just because i dun tweet, chat on msn, or leave facebook updates doesnt mean i am invisible.
i thought that i can connect with my friends on other channels. like meeting up for a meal, or just to talk over tea, or over sms or phone? but no one evers ask me out, or calls me other than my own boyfriend.
am i really that pathetic? do i really think i have friends when in fact i have none? why is it that i am always the one asking, trying and making an effort and the one being rejected?
i really dont want to feel this way. But i am constantly being reminded to stay clear-minded and be mindful that 'though you have many friends, many arent true. you have plentiful of 小人 around you'
